What makes a referral count
- The referrer holds $100 or more in net deposits.
- The friend is brand new and joins with the link or code LUML7A.
- The friend adds $100 or more from outside Wealthsimple within 30 days, inside the contest window.
The cap
At the time of last verification, the cap was 100,000 entries per person per contest. The September 2026 cap was 300,000, so caps change.
Rules people miss
- The contest rules say the friend must have a pre-existing personal, family or friend relationship with the referrer.
- Referrals from spam, bulk messaging or automated tools do not count.
- Entries reset each month. Direct deposit doubles entries.
- Winners must answer a skill testing question.
